We had a fun email today from a likely new client. Turns out her husband is a former NHL-er playing in a Russian hockey league. Very cool.
Being a sports guy, I had to look up his team and noticed something. The player’s weights are in kilograms.
Hmmm…did you know I only weigh 110kg?
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking – pretty cool. But one thing I never liked about the metric system is that it was a beautiful sunny today in South Florida and yet it was 24°…Celsius. Sorry, I don’t like the idea that it was ONLY 24. That’s cold.
Then again, I think if it was only 24° and I played 2 hours of aggressive tennis at 110kg – then, well, maybe it’s not so bad.
Not that I look like 110kg, mind you. Most people guess that I’m between 90-100kg – which is my goal – but whether I look like it or not, it slows me down on the court from time to time. It’s time to get serious so I can improve my health AND my game. And now that I’ve gone metric, I think my goal will be easier to achieve – I mean, it’s only 10kg, right?
How hard can that be?
