Some people love sitting around a campfire enjoying songs, chats and warmth on a cool night. I certainly do. Some enjoy the challenge of building a campfire from scratch, no ignitable materials other than wood. Count me in on that group too.
But I have another fascination with campfires – photographing them. Campfires to me are a fingerprint or snowflake – no two are the same. The way the flames of a great campfire wrap around, sometimes through firewood to me, is art.
This week, new friends of ours picked up something called “Mystical Fire” – a packet that when dropped into a campfire, produced colorful flames and more unique photos.
